Brown 24, Harvard 22 September 27, 2008

Posted by Jim Berkin in Football.

Our first victory over those ARROGANT HARVARD SNOBS since 1999! The offense continues to roll, and the defense held their ground on some key plays in the red zone.

The way it looks now, the only team standing in the way of Brown winning the Ivy League this year is Cornell, who come to Providence on October 25. Considering the karmic payback due to Cornell for giving the world Bill Maher, Ann Coulter AND Keith Olberman, I’m thinking Brown wins by a gazillion.

Next week, the BATTLE FOR RHODE ISLAND SUPREMACY when Brown plays URI. Usually the battle for Rhode Island supremacy involves a couple of guys named “Vinnie” and “Joey Onions” and ends with somebody driving to Seekonk to dig a hole. Hopefully this game will be different, but when I look at the weakness of the URI defense so far this year, all I can tell you is: Fly to Las Vegas NOW and and take the over in this one!
