I’ll See Your Pair Of Morons & Raise You Ten Idiots May 14, 2008

Posted by Jim Berkin in Baseball, Football, Television.

Bouncing around online just now, I scored a trifecta of three pieces in a row about STUPID SCHMUCKS and their equally stupid behavior.

First, we have Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter continuing to bitch and moan about how the Patriots beat the Eagles in the Superbowl some years back. Now, Arlen beat cancer and big points to anyone who does that, but spare me the endless WHINING and floating the idea of yet another obvious abuse of Federal power all because your team lost a football game. My team lost the same game this year and they were favored to win. Launch an investigation into THAT, Senator Crybaby. And while you’re at it, why not sit down AGAIN with scumbags like Assad of Syria and see if HE buys your original claim to fame, the single bullet theory. How the hell do people like this always get elected?

While some are morons because they are elected, others come into their moronicism simply through inheritance, which brings me to Hank Steinbrenner, the de-facto head honcho of the Yankees now that Daddy George is out of it. Hank’s been testing the waters to see if he can say as many stupid things to a willing NY press like dad used to, back in the good ol’ days of trading away every prospect for some washed-up star of yesterdecade and eviscerating the farm system. Now Hank has been out of diapers and wearing pull-up pants long enough to start dropping hints about who he can blame for the Yanks’ so-far sub-par performance this year, with all eyes on Joe Girardi. Torre is looking smarter and smarter for getting the hell out of there, even if it meant going to the Dodgers. Hank, sit back, shut the F up, sign the checks and let Brian Cashman run the team.

And finally, there’s this collection of various news anchors losing it on camera. I think the biggest mistake in the collection is Bill O’Reilly’s hair, but you make the call.
